Presentation Topics:
Health Educator – Dr. Linda Hancock: A talk called “Jungle Juice and Genetic Snowflakes”, this session looks at some harm reduction strategies and on how to use evidence based practices like “motivational interviewing” in brief interactions.
Attorney – Mr. Bobby Howlett: A presentation and information on the occupations you may be denied to you for misdemeanor or felony alcohol statute conviction and the impact of bad decisions on future.
Professional Speaker – Ms. Sara Panzau: A talk about peer pressures, the “wrong crowd” and the meaning of “real” friends and spotting the telltale warning signs in others and the need to seek help.
Professional Counseling – Ms. Lori Hobson: A talk called “I Met the Man/Woman of my Dreams and Then I Woke Up!” This will be a highly interactive presentation that will challenge participants to examine the way they choose a partner and the influence alcohol may have on that choice.
